The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system with two diamond tweeters features outstanding studio-quality sound for every seat in the car. 16 carefully positioned speakers ensure a mesmerising sound experience. The speakers are illuminated, visually emphasizing the system's outstanding sound quality.

LUXURY LINE.

The Luxury Line endows the BMW 5 Series with elegance through its fine design elements of high-gloss chrome and matching wheels. In the interior, highlights such as the exclusive Lines upholstery with contrasting stitching and piping as well as fine-wood decorative surfaces combined with an accent in Pearl-Gloss Chrome generate an especially stylish atmosphere. The instrument panel in artificial leather adds the final precious touch.

M SPORT PACKAGE.

In the M Sport package, the passion for dynamism is clearly at the forefront. Powerful air inlets, for instance, lend the front apron an eye-catching presence. The exclusive Aluminium Rhombicle interior trim and the BMW Individual roof liner in Anthracite add an extra athletic note to the interior.

The new interactive Adaptive Mode function continuously adjusts the adaptive suspension, the steering and the Steptronic transmission to suit the current driving situation.

Thanks to more lightweight materials such as aluminium and ultra modern aluminium alloys, the BMW 5 Series of the seventh generation weighs in at up to 100 kilograms less than its predecessor. The intelligent lightweight construction also ensures a balanced weight distribution between front and rear axle as well as a lower centre of gravity. The result is highly dynamic driving characteristics.

When demand for cooling air is low, an air valve inside the Active Air Stream kidney grille remains closed, leading to ideal cd values as low as 0.22, which are unique in this class.

The equipment package Parking Assistant Plus makes parking and manoeuvring the vehicle easier. It features Surround View including Top View, Remote 3D View, PDC and the Parking Assistant with linear guidance, which parks the vehicle parallel or perpendicular to the lane completely automatically. The system works by measuring potential spaces while driving past them at a low speed.
